One of the most common concerns people have is:
What do other people think of me?
To be on the safe side of the fence people start to arrange their words and their opinions in a way they think is acceptable and liked by others.
But when you adapt yourself and the way you speak, dress and talk in order to not get judged or critizied by others, you are living a very pale and bad version of yourself.
And let me tell you. Nobody respects a bad version of anything. People may buy it for a moment, but they throw it away as soon as something with higher quality arrives.
The greatest innovations, the greatest breakthroughs and the greatest lovestories in this world are not coming from people who played it safe.
They came from people who dared to say their opinion, who dared to keep their head up high while being laughed at because of their visions and actions, they came from people who dared to love even if they were not sure if they were loved back.
And the nature of being your true self is this:
People can disagree with you, despise you and even hate you, but they can’t continue to disrespect a man or a woman who is doing what they really believe in. It’s against nature.
I would like to encourage you to do one thing today, one thing that you are afraid of doing because of your fear of what others may think of you.
It could be something small or big. It can be that you get that haircut you always dreamt of, it can be that you send a sweet message or tell someone that you love them even if you don’t know if they love you back, it can be that you finally put that red lipstick on when you go out, even if you’re afraid to encourage your feminine side.
Go out there and live the life you are meant to live. Don’t play it safe.
Have a wonderful week!
